Buffalo Small Press Fair Coming March 31 at Karpeles Manuscript Museum

In the spirit of the Buffalo Indie Lit Luau before it, the Buffalo Small Press Fair, coordinated by Kevin Thurston and Christopher Fritton, is designed to bring together a plurality of people in different veins of publishing - poetry, fiction, comics, graphic design, politics - for a one-day event March 31st at the beautiful Karpeles Manuscript Museum. The scope currently is regional (through Ohio, Toronto, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh). Along with vendors, there will be an exhibit provided by Michael Basinski of the SUNY-Buffalo Poetry & Rare Books Library highlighting Buffalo's small press history; there will likely be round-tables and forums, as well.

The organizers are looking for vendors; if interested, please fill out this online form and even pay through PayPal if you wish.

Also occuring that weekend (starting Thursday, running through Saturday) will be the second Electric City Spectacular. Last year's event saw numerous artist readings, performances, and film screenings. Saturday night's event will likely be at the Karpeles Manuscript museum also, making for quite a day trip.
